I am a university student struggling to pay for my education. My financial situation has become even more difficult because of the cost of my anemia medication, which I need for my health. Hello, my name is Nadia. I am an army veteran and I am currently being jerked around by not only the VA but the army as well. I am categorized as a official veteran though due to some exclusive work on behalf of my master sergeant of my releasing unit I am only receiving medical benefits. I have a dog that is entitled to be a service dog and also have paperwork for him to be my emotional support animal I need help with getting the funding to protect his rights with us service animal registry which cost $175 not to include any taxes. Though the VA acknowledges my medical issues due to that Master Sergeant they refuse to acknowledge the time period of where it’s service-connected. The master sergeant built up paperwork on me to force me out of the military because I was going up the chain of command trying to inform them of the sexual harassment going on within the unit caused by the very master sergeant that forced me out. Despite having letters of recommendation from not only the major as well from the lieutenant colonel of Fort McPherson before it closed stating that I should have been released General under honorable conditions, the lieutenant colonel also made a personal statement saying that I perform my duties well and honorably, due to all the extra efforts on the behalf of my master sergeant I have yet to be able to get the VA to turn over the original decision which was made an error to begin with. Another reason I am asking for donations is because my emotional support animal has a lump in his throat and I need to get him to a veterinarian as soon as I can . I thought for a while it was a bug bite because he was scratching but as time went by it’s just enlarged more and more and the scratching stopped I examined it while it was smaller and never found a puncture to where it was a bite so I’m really worried about him and I really need to take care of him so that he can help me . My medical health is not well, I have several mental health issues on top of physical health issues, I am happy about my medical assistance from VA though I still need transportation to specialist appointments so I also need a vehicle a good reliable vehicle that’s also why I am requesting donations. Also my medical issues are the cause of my unemployment. I recently also went through some extensive trauma with the VA and it seems as though currently despite circumstances they are trying to brush it under the rug, which is causing so much more just stress on my life than what is already going on due to their failure to support me correctly as a disabled veteran. I've never been particularly infatuated with money, for my interests have always lied within the heart. But I can not deny circumstances and the practical value of money. I come from a poor family. My mother works at a laundromat to support us siblings. I wish for her ease, and I myself occasionally finding employment where I can to lessen the burden. But procuring a job now is not only difficult, but impractical given that I must attend to college. What I require most is some funds for college books. To speak frankly, I wish for this education to aid our situation. I want to succeed and bring us out of the circle of poverty, but finances continually weigh us down with chains. College has become increasingly expensive, and I worry for the cost it will have on our already meager lifestyle. I do not want money to have been the reason that I could not have had a proper education at college. All I wish is to get through this without being so hindered in my possible choices because money is an obstacle. At the least, books are the first step, and the most important first step. My name is Emily and I married my husband, David, on may 10 2014, and have been blessed and grateful to have found my soulmate and my heart ever since. Due to a surprise move and limited job options, my husband made the decision to stay with the available job of carpenter's/flooring helper in order to try and get us on our feet and build a viable future for our family. But due to finances, we could not manage to afford to keep our family together. I am reaching out here, on a lark of faith and hope and humbleness, to see if i could raise the money it would take to rent a weekly housing situation that would allow us to be reunited. I love my husband dearly and am hoping to raise a few hundred dollars in order to bring us back together and allow us to jam a foot in the door and grab hold of solid ground. We have no vehicle to travel to visit, and he works 60 hr weeks for very little pay as a 'helper'. He is a 13 year experienced plumber and general handyman and I am a waitress/personal assistant extraordinairre, and we would both be willing to trade various services for any goodwill. Me she my 4 children were evicted. Their ages are 1, 2, 9, and 11. I was laid off of my job in April and could not continue to pay the bills once my unemployment ran out. We have found a trailer to move in for $275 a month and a friend had offered to pay this but I still have to come up with the $400 light bill deposit. Any donation would be a blessing to me and my kids. They have not been to school in 2 weeks because we do not have an address. Please help us.
