My daughter will be 16 here in just a few short weeks. Her dads family had promised her a vehicle and a sweet 16 party, however he has gone to prison, and the family has pretty much ceased to help me out with her or even bother to try to have anything to do with her at all. I am a single mother of 2 other children along with my daughter and it is difficult just making ends meet. I don't feel like she should have to suffer because her father is an idiot that can't stay out of trouble and I feel like she deserves to have the best 16th birthday party a girl could dream of, however, funds are just NOT available for me to make that happen. Hello my name is Mercedes. I am 19 years old. I know there are many other people with worse situations than me and I understand that, but right now Im at a point where I really need the money. Im not trying to come on here and feed you a sad story and gain pitty just to get money and spend or scam you. I have never been the type to ask anyone for money nor anything else because I was taught to work hard for what I want. Every since my father died in February money has been extremely tight. I had to take a semester off of school to work and help support my family. Now Im a full time student and working part time trying to make ends. I am honestly trying my best to help assist my mother with bills because she's on a fixed income and work is only giving me so little hours. We are currently behind $250 on a bill a thats due on 20th of November, I recently needed $30 for a past due balance but I paid that off when I got paid. Im am a good person with a good heart who always try to remain positive and keep it together, be the strong one, sadly to say right now I am at my lowest. I am honestly putting my pride to the side doing this because I have never had to ask well beg rather say anyone for money and I didn't want to feel like a charity case, but sadly to say I desperately need it because I just need to help support my mother with bills because I know she cant do it alone. Boyfriend and I are self-employed, money is never stable but has recently become extremely low (almost nothing, and if it does come in, it goes very quickly). Boyfriend has 3 children who need to be fed, we also need clothing and other things, but this is less important. Many crises keep happening around us, and it is very hard right now. This is so hard for me, Due to accident injury I lost my handyman business in 2008,had no insurance and no state help,living off what little I had saved and kindness of an elderly relative.My only asset was a small piece of land which about 9 months ago I found a buyer for,they were going to pay £8500 well they kept delaying the deal until finally pulling out! Im now presented with a large legal bill for which I have nothing to pay it with,im desperate,have never in my life had debt with no means to pay. The proceeds from this sale would have given me the chance to get a small business going now thats gone! All I want is to clear this debt and get a small sum together to start again.
