Teacher with Student Loans
NC teacher, North Carolina
I work at a great NC elementary school. However, as some of you may know, NC is not making teacher pay an important priority. I have been teaching for six years, yet with no raises and a decrease in teacher pay I make less than when I started. My husband and I are getting by. We pay all of our bills on time, house payment, car payment, student loans, etc. It would be nice to have a little money for our family, especially since we are expecting another child in March. It would be wonderful to have at least my student loan gone. The outstanding debt on my loan is $3578.19 as of today, October 13th. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
way behind need some help
ok my reasons for why im here
i have been declared disabled by my doctor at unc-chapel hill transplant center. i am awaiting ssa disability but no idea of the time frame for their decision. i have no credit cards or car loans outstanding and have shut everything down to just internet in our home. ( to communicate with doctors, appts lab results etc. ) i cant afford the 50 bucks for my prepaid phone service and can live without it if need be. i will be behind in rent 350.00 am past due on electric 163.19 and need 92.00 to get the heat turned on ( gas heat / stove ) i have applied for dss help but again no time frame with the federal shutdown. my sons mother owes me over 5000.00 in back child support and again no time frame as to when they can get her to pay. my son has a soccer tournament at the end of the month and unless something good happens he probably wont be able to attend. ( i am waiting to see if another parent may be able to drive him and stay with them for the overnight trip but not sure yet ) im sure my story isnt as bad as some but if at all possible i sure could use a little bit of help right now. thanks for taking the time to look at this posting

There is a devil, and the jerk waits until you are at the lowest point in life to create a perfect storm of Murphy's Law.
I have been on unpaid sick leave from my job for many months and just a few weeks ago had to spend nearly all of my savings on a medical emergency. At the time, I thought "No problem, I still have my job and long term disability".
Well, the joke was on me, because I was terminated from my job 3 days after I received my Doctor's note to return to work!
(Still had my benefits and was never given a notice of termination)
Then, Lo and Behold, I was informed by the Human Resources director, that not only was I terminated, but what I thought was my Long Term Disability was actually an error made by the company payroll dept! They had me listed as a Regular employee, even though I was on registered unpaid sick leave!!
So now, not only did my company fire me, they now say I have to PAY THEM back every red cent for THEIR Mistake!!
So I am screwed, everything that could go wrong happened at one time....October is fast approaching, and I do not have enough for my rent, which is $899 and my unemployment benefits have not even started yet.
If I get help, (1 dollar from 899 individuals) I can get another job during October AND PAY everyone back for their Altruism. What dignity I have left demands I repay all who may help me.
My email is cohesivematter@gmx.com, and you can send donations via paypal.
Many Thanks and God Bless....

Please Help Me Become A Nurse!, North Carolina
Hi Everyone. My name is Kayla. I am single mother of 3 little girls. I have been attending school over the past year to become an RN. I recently had some issues with my student loans and now my school is saying I owe them a little over $3,500 before I can finish my classes! I was heartbroken when I received this news because I knew there was no way I would be able to pay it and everything I had ever dreamed of was over. I only have a semester and half left and I will be finished! I don want to let my children down, I am doing this for them and for our future. I have to work overtime just to be able to pay for my tuition as I am no longer eligible to receive financial aid. I have tried everything I can think of loans, family members, etc no one can help me.!!
