just moved into new place to get away from abuse

just moved my two children and myself into a new place to get away from the abuse my children were recieving. I only recieve survivor benefits for son and I am waiting on ssi to be approved. Welfare wont kick in till next month or the month afterwards and I have to sign the check over to my landlord so i can move everything in. I can't afford to pay niagra mohawk, or my car insurance. Also I have other bills related to my college courses. I am trying really hard to do whats right for my children but I need a little help. Please help!
No money to fix car
Got in a Horrible Accident, Minnesota
In May, I took my first long drive on my own. It'd be a three hour trip to the closest city to visit my friend who was graduating.
Little did I know that I wouldn't make it to the graduation.
27 minutes from my destination, the front left tire of my vehicle just busted, making me lose control completely and crash against the median divider.
I was cruising on the highway at 70 mph and after I crashed my cruise control did not turn off, so I kept going, disoriented, for about 30 yards or so, until my brain got a hold of itself. I distinctly remember telling myself "find the break" before attempting to stop my vehicle from continuing on crashing against the median divider.
My insurance agent had told me that since my car was not particularly new that it was not worth my money to get comprehensive insurance, which meant I had a huge bill that I had to pay out of pocket just to leave my car in driveable condition.
I live in a place where it snows, a lot, and I would like to be able to get my vehicle completely fixed before the bad weather starts which should be around October.
Any kind soul willing to help me out there?

Need Help Getting Back to School
My name is Joseph Walker and I am trying to make $4000 to give to my school so I can go back to college and graduate. I am 21 years old and I dropped my engineering classes this past fall 2014 semester so I could go into nursing. After I dropped, my funds were taken from me and the funds that were already used were charged back to me because i get a grant and didn't fully earn it. I now cannot go back to school until i pay the funds back. The counselor said that the minimum payment, which is all i can afford right now, will take 2 years to pay it off.
