Recently I was declared permanently disabled (no not saying that just to try and get your emotional chain...unfortunately it just is what happened ). Right now I am in process of applying for SSD, I worked hard my whole life and now when I need help back, they are saying oh well it takes about 2 years and then you find out if you are approved or not! WHAT? sigh... oh and guess what - you can't file for unemployment because that says to one govt agency you might work and the other you cant work...sigh....i guess I understand that...what I am not understanding is how they expect me to survive for 2 years with no income! I have already exhausted my small pension (yay 3k). I just need help with basic needs - electricity, water, garbage, food, gas...doctor (yes i am supposed to keep seeing doctor - but they don't seem to know how I pay for one).....my family has been wonderful, but they can only do so much and it kills me to see them going down the tubes because of what happened to me. I am used to taking care of myself, this is so humiliating and frustrating! Anyways, if anyone would be kind enough to donate even a dollar- trust me it is more than i have in my purse - thank you for reading this long post!

I am a 41 yr old divorced mother of two. I work 14 hrs a day 6 days a week and STILL can not get out of this hole I'm in. I mean what does it take. I don't know what else to do. I have recently been diagnosed with leukemia and the doctor's tell me my future looks dark. Though, there is this experimental treatment for leukemia. I need about $150,000 for this treatment. I'm not looking for that much from you guys on this website. Every little bit counts. My doctor says that I have 8-10 months to live. I am a student on the GI Bill. I am a married father of two, and I am working as much as I can, but hours are hard to come by. Due to cuts in the GI bill, I am going through a bit of financial hardship. I am a frugal person, I work hard and have a 3.8+ GPA, but sometimes all of us need a little help. I don't have any family to rely on, or turn to for financial help, or even to cosign a loan for me. I was out of a job for almost two years and racked up $31,000 of credit card debt so I could pay for utilities, taxes and food. I was responsible and put it on a ZERO percent interest CHASE credit card. I found a job and have pad off twelve thousand but need to pay off the remaining $19,000 before September 2012 when the zero percent offer ends.
