I am constantly trying to get out of debt due to a previous relationship. The girl I was with cheated on me and left me with a whole load of debt and a mortgage. I managed to sell the property at a loss and I have been trying to settle the debts for the past 12 years and I am finding it increasingly difficult. I can only afford to pay minimum payments each month and often have to "rob Paul to pay Peter". I am becoming desperate as I am finding it hard to provide food and clothes for my wife and child and am working all the hours I can to provide for them. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Family in need For years now we have struggled to keep our children fed and clothed. Our twin girls were born five weeks' early and spent weeks in NICU. Thank God the girls are healthy now and doing well but the bills have mounted and we live from pay check to pay check. Our stove is old and has become a fire hazard. There's not any money to buy the kids extra clothes so they wear the same outfit to church each Sunday. Our shoes have holes but we can't afford new ones. The banker is constantly calling and the utility bills are months past due. My husband works long hours and I have to stay home with the girls because of developmental issues. The economy has us on our knees. It's our prayer to one day be a blessing to others in need. Thank you

Dear surfer, I want to assure you that any funds provided will go towards helping me get out of debt. Over the past few years I have acquired over $12,000 in debt. I am looking to get a new lease on life and I feel like this i's holding me back. Most of that debt was due to drinking. I have been sober for 1 year now and will never go back to drinking. I was admitted 3 times to the hospital for binge drinking. My monthly payments are very high and due to the fact that I am unemployed, it can be difficult to make.those payments. But most of all I want to get rid of the balance and move on with my life.

Not gona bore ya with a pity-me sob story - I'm broke for SO many crappy reasons and to try make SOME kind of life for myself, I really hope to go to college. Simple as that, but as there's no such thing as free education, and at nearly 30 years of age, I need to pay a mortgage aswell as tuition fees while working a part -time job (that's even if I manage to get one!). So it's either give up and sit at home, spend the next 10 years saving while in a dead end job, or try something different - like this!
