I am a recntely single dad with 2 kids, working to support them the best I can but I have a pile of debts that were run up by their mother before she passed and no way of payimng them. Any amount no matter how small will be appreciated.

I have had these student loans haunting me for the longest time. I was never able to graduate from college even though I had only 24 credit hours left to graduate. The college I attended never offered the courses I needed to graduate even though they were required to do so. Anyways, I am now in debt to the federal government to the tone of about $21,000.00. I have a job, but do not make enough to pay back my loans on a regular basis. I have tried to get them paid off, but I have a wife and two kids to support first. Also, it is affecting my credit in a bad way and now do not qualify for any loans on a house. It is the most frustrating thing in the world because I make too much to qualify for assistance, but not enough to where I can payoff my loans. Some things come first in my opinion, and that is my family. I'm sure this is the same old song and dance everyone has, but I assure you that this money will be going towards paying off my student loans so mmy family and I can finally get into a home of our own for the first time without paying rent. Thanks for listening to me moan and groan, but this is my last ditch effort. I don't like to ask for help or assistance, but I figured there might still be a few understanding people with money that might give my family and I a chance at a normal life. Thank you.

Hi I'm studying at University, but having just lost a job I'm finding it impossible to survive over summer. Rent is due at the end of month of £500 and I'm unable to claim any welfare due to being a full time student (even over summer when I receive no loan or grant). I have tried my bank and unfortunately they are unwilling to help in any way. I'm out of ideas and would appreciate any help you could give me. Ideally £1000 would see me through to my next Student grant payment (2 months rent + money for food) however half of that is more essential as hopefully I will have found a job by then. I got paid yesterday and after I went to cash my check, at some point someone stole my wallet from my pocket. I get paid biweekly and for the most part, I'll be okay on my bills, etc. The only issue really is I was going grocery shopping later that day and I don't have the money to buy any food now. I don't have much left in my house either. I don't need a lot of money, I can get by on very little, but two weeks without food seems pretty daunting. If I could even just get $20, that would be plenty. Thanks.
