Hello! I am junior studying Public Policy and Economics at Vanderbilt University. I am a first generation college student, and I come from a low-income, single parent family. I will be studying abroad in Cape Town, South Africa in a week and my scholarship only covers tuition and room and board. In Cape Town, I will be taking two classes centered around community and urban development and I will be doing service in the local marginalized communities.
