Needing to move

Wally, Canada

I am far from what I would consider a "begger". I have worked since I was in grade 8. Some weeks during my school years I worked full-time. I refused to ask my parents for money to buy needless things. But folks, I am appealing to kind and generous hearts. I do not feel entitled to your donations, I am merely asking if you have extra and are willing to help a young fella (26 years old), I would be most indebted to you all. I recently was taken off work for surgery on my arm. Elbow and wrist. Since getting taken off work, my funds have diminished immensely. Bills do that, apparently. I am not a partier, so my money isn't wasted on alcohol or tobacco or anything of the sort. My roomate who "owns" our apartment is giving it up, and I am now in need of the money to find new accomodations. Any help a generous soul could give would be appreciated beyond belief. Thank you in advance.

Raising my nephew and lost my job

StrugglingNewMother, St. Louis

I am a proud woman who has never begged for anything before. I have always worked hard to earn my own way. However, I am raising my nephew and there is no room for pride when it comes to children. I lost my job around the holidays and all I have been able to find is part time employment, but it is not enough to make all the bills. I have sold most of everything I own to keep us afloat and even tried every church I could find for help. However, there is very little funding and all they could offer is a small amount of food. I need all the help I can get to make sure we don't lose our home. We are now a month behind and it will cost us $370 to get caught up. Anything anyone can give would be a true blessing. Thank you for taking the time to read this post.

For my pup. Please help me, help her.

Mabel, Australia

The only reason I am doing this is to help pay for the vet care for my 11 week old kelpie x heeler puppy Mabel. Shes the light of our lives. I do not work as I care for my son with Autism, and I like to think of myself as a budget queen. I get my bills paid on time, we always have food, and the rent gets paid, and not ever enough left over for emerganices. Except for this doozy! Mabel started to vomit on Tuesday night, and by Wednesday night she was fading fast. Even though I knew it would be tough, financially, she is totally worth it. I took her to the 24 hour emergency vet. And it is now Sunday, and her vet bill is currently (until 10pm tonight, its currently 1pm) is $2095. Shes been in there for 5 days. She had bloody diarrhea and vomiting. I thought she had Parvo Virus, which is deadly in dogs, but thankfully she tested negative, so they have her on a IV and have been giving her antibiotics and anti-nausea and anti-diarrhea medications. I just spoke to the vet and she said she is very happy and active and perky, and may be able to come home tomorrow. But I dont have enough money to pay the vet!! They have a thing here called Vet Care, where the Vet's apply for a loan at 15% repay and depends on your income, Ive been pre-approved for $650. Ive already paid $50, so now Im in need of $1395 plus whatever over night costs incur. :( Ive asked family for help, and they are unable to. Ive never done this before. And I wouldnt if I knew of any other way. Thank you from all of us.
