I am a 37 year old mom of four,(from teens to a preschooler) and have been plodding along diligently to get a college degree. I have an AA, and am about 3 semesters from my B.S. in Substance Abuse Counseling and Therapy. Unfortunately, since I have had to take classes on the fly so that I can manage kids, marriage, and stepkids; when the Pell was retroactively limited in March, I found that I had run out of money. My loans are used up as well. Since I only have 3 semesters left, I am at a desperation point. My husband's ex wife has ruined his credit, so we are not able to get private loans. I don't want to give up now and have all the hard work that I have done amount to nothing because I can't afford to finish. I ask that you help me, and in doing so, know that once I get my degree and am working, I will be giving back to the community through helping others.
