On Friday Sept. 13, 2013 My family and I were the unfortunate victims of a flood in Colorado, at which time I was given 5 minutes to grab the most Important objects in my home and get out before my trailer was consumed completely by water and sewage. In short I grabbed my 4 children, my cat, my keys, and my phone I did not even have time to get my purse or clothes before the trailer was under water. We lost everything that day and since I have lost my marriage and my children were sent out of state to live with grandparents. Since then my oldest daughter has turned 22, my twin boys are now 18, and my baby is 12, I have not seen my children in 4 years due to impossible financial hardships and ongoing job issues due to my medical issues and my loss of a job due to surgery recently was the biggest upset making a goal of a visit by Christmas this past year impossible due to not having the funds or a vehicle, upsetting for me yet heartbreaking for my children. My new goal is to see them by spring break however with my nonstop bills and no income I fear breaking their hearts again.
