Need Help (Food) God Bless

Felix & L, Stamford

When we got married in July of this year we never expected our lives to begin like this. I married the love of my life in July at the time I was laid off from work and I taught I would have a job soon as I have been working in the same field for over 25 years as a maintenance supervisor never taught that I would lose my job security. As a result we have had to move down into our basement and rent out our apartment. We now live in a 400sf partially finished basement with our 3 stray cats and our shelter dog. When we got married in July we reported to social security of our marital status at the time my wife was receiving disability for crippling back disorder and I was receiving unemployment to our dismay they told us that my wife’s disability check will stop and that I was responsible for our household income my wife is 50 years old and I am 59. This month we were told that on December 29, 2013 my unemployment will end we are beside ourselves we are loving and God fearing couple we try to give whenever we can at this stage of our lives we taught that we would not be in the position that we are in today I have been applying everyday for jobs with no results I don’t know what we are going to do after the 28 of December we will have no income at all we do not know how we are going to feed ourselves or our pets. I am writing this letter because I do not know what to do at this point. Maybe someone out there can help us. I am willing and ready to go back to work but I fear because of my age I am not getting hired. If there’s anyone reading this letter that can do something for us in any way we would greatly appreciate it. Not looking for a hand out but a hand up. Thank You and God Bless Felix & Lisa Andreoni 25 Waterbury Avenue Stamford Ct 06902 203-517-6609
