I was lost my job due financial crisis

Due the financial crisis in the Euro zone I lost my job and benefits, a month ago. I'm desperate and I don't know what I can do, there are no job openings so I can apply to them, and the upcoming Christmas is very pressing for me and my family.
I won't dressed like Santa Claus this Xmas because I cannot afford buying toys for my two little kids, I don't even be sure if I'm going to buy food for the Xmas day.
Please help I'm desperate!!!
