Human Trafficking Survivor

Hello. My name is Olive. I am a Human Trafficking survivor. I fled my abuser last June and went the police. The police to me to S.A.N.E where I received an sexual assault examination. S.A.N.E released me to the care of a local non profit, who took me to the emergency room. I was informed that I had a concussion, seven to eight contusions, a fractured jaw, and a fractured hyoid bone that was a direct result of strangulation. I also had a sprained ankle from an unsuccessful escape attempt from a two story window. My left eye was also swollen shut. The non profit organization told me that the lead investigator on my case advised them to take me to a federally funded "Safehouse" because he did not want me to return home until my abuser was in police custody. I arrived at the Safehouse in June. I got a job and started my recovery process. I was told by the lead investigator and Safehouse staff that I did not have to worry about my apartment because I was covered under the Violence Against Women's Act. I took them at their word and focused on my recovery. I stayed at the Safehouse for six months. In December I felt I was strong enough and financial stable enough to return home I found out that I had been evicted several months prior. I was devastated. I lost everything that I had. In a nutshell, I left the Safehouse and found out that I was homeless. I lived off of the money I had saved as long as I could. When the money ran out I lived in my car. My abuser found out that I was back in town because I didn't have anywhere to "be". One night about a month ago he found me in my car and used a weapon to force me to go with him. He kept me "hostage" for three weeks. During those three he physically abused. He beat me with brass knuckles. I have two broken fingers right now. I managed to get away from him again but he's still actively searching for me. I am still homeless. I don't know how much longer I can avoid. I desperately need help. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
