My name is Pamela, and I'm a 42-year-old single mother of an adorable almost 4-year-old. I'm asking with a heart full of hope and a burning desire to rebuild a secure future for my son, Adrian. The amount I'm seeking might shock some people, but that's 200,000 Mexican Pesos, not US Dollars (Roughly $10,000 USD). Sadly, I'm currently facing an impossible situation, far from where I lived and in need of a divine miracle through some financial assistance.


The short story here is that back in 2021, I made a leap of faith, traveling to Mexico to build a life with someone I fell in love with. That dream shattered when he abruptly abandoned me after finding out I was not only pregnant but that my child had some health issues (nothing major, as I, with determination and time, was able to manage things and get him back to being a healthy and happy baby boy), leaving me financially devastated and alone. He returned to the United States overnight without me even knowing, effectively trapping me in the worst and most trying situation of my life.


The heartbreak of abandonment quickly turned into something far more frightening. The father of my child began a pattern of intimidation and control, sending threatening emails and messages, shockingly, including sharing private, intimate photos he took of me while I was not looking (and without my consent), in an attempt to silence me from reaching out to his family and friends for help.


It was a terrifying experience that left me feeling vulnerable, violated, and utterly powerless. I reported this abuse to the authorities here, and I even filed a police report to get a restraining order, even if it didn't lead to immediate action (as he is no longer in the country, but again, I have documentation of the reports available for anyone interested in reviewing them). Navigating the legal system in Mexico is “challenging,” and struggling to survive has been incredibly straining on my health issues on top of my child's ongoing health issues that take priority over me financially.


For the past 4 and a half years, I've been working tirelessly to survive, relying on the kindness of strangers and taking on any work I could find. From baking cookies to sell on the local markets on the weekends to cleaning houses and anything I can find to be able to provide, but I have health issues of my own that sometimes don't allow me to work as much as I have to. Steadfastly and diligently, my focus has always been on getting back to my son and rebuilding a life where we can both thrive at some point without these constant struggles.


My goal is simple: to return to the United States. This isn't just about coming back to the USA, where I lived and thrived before all this happened; it's about securing a future for my son and myself. Here's how your donation will directly help:


Passport, transportation, stay & travel costs: The most immediate need is to replace my passport and cover the cost of a cheap flight back to the USA, plus a cheap place to stay and transportation for a couple of weeks. (Approximately $4,000 USD)


Legal Fees: Once back on USA soil, I need to file for child support to ensure my son receives the financial support he deserves. I also need to begin the process of applying for his U.S. citizenship. (Approximately $6,000 USD)


What I’m truly seeking here is an outstretched hand and a little bit of karma, or “pay it forward,” if you will. I'm a hardworking, determined mother who has faced unimaginable challenges. I'm ready to rebuild, to provide for my son, and to share my gifts of knowledge and determination with the world.
