Help affording a good used car

Hi, my name is Ben. I'm 23 years old and I live in a very small community, jobs are scarce and I can't seem to obtain the funds necessary for me to move forward in life. I feel stuck. I've managed to save $743 and I'm hoping to be able to afford a car closer to the 1,500 range. When I go to school in the spring, it'll be essential for me to have a car for commuting to school and back as well as for going back and forth from home to work. Please help, I would certainly be grateful. Thank you.
