Get my life back on track..plz
23 and about to go bankrupt..., Australia
I am an idiot when it comes to credit cards.. A year ago I had just a savings account, now I have 4 maxed credit cards totalling $10,000.... I get half a dozen calls DAILY from the banks requesting a payment but I just can't keep up with the interest charges!!! I totally know it's my fault, but I have cut all the cards up and I really want a fresh start. I have contemplated a government issued loan, but that will leave a mark on my record for 7 years, and the loan falls under the bankruptcy act! I'm only 23 years old, and having this on my file will stop me from progressing any further in life for almost a decade! Please help me out, so that I can sleep at night and have the banks off my back.
