Hello. After 20+ years in the automotive industry, it's not the stable place that it used to be. Been out of work twice in the last 5 years, but this time, it's worse. Still trying to pay off the credit card bills we used to stay afloat from the last time, and this time, the house is at risk. We bought the house for the kids, so they could come back to it and share their memories when they had kids of their own, and to leave it to them as an inheritance. I've got no family to ask for help from, and the wife's family has done so much already, and I do need to pay them back when I find another job, in a more stable industry, but it's not easy to move to a different industry when the interviewers start out with, "Well, you seem to have a very strong background in the automotive industry. Why do you want to leave it?". The other thing that's hard to hear is "You're overqualified for the position you're applying for. Why do you want to start at an entry level position?". When you try to leave one industry for another, can you really expect to start at the top...? It doesn't seem to matter that I have skill sets that can be applied to a number of different industries. Sometimes, it seems like we're branded with a Scarlet Letter because of the industry and the publicity it got a few years ago, with going to the government for a handout when none of the Big Three really needed to. Ok, sorry about the rant... I need to find another job, hold onto my house, and be able to sleep at night again. My wife knows that I'm stressed out, but has no idea that I cry every night, feeling like I've let her and the kids down. Anything you can give would be vastly appreciated. Thank you.

I have a debt with my ex-husband, that we got when we were married. I was dumb enough to believe he would help with the payments, after our divorce was final. I have paid the majority of the debt. I'm a single mom, of 2 teenagers, living on disabilty, barely! I have to drive 2 hours 1 way, to go see the attorney for the lady that's suing us. If I don't show, they will put a warrant out for me. NO THANKS!! :0 Please, help me! I've been making small payments on this since 2010! It's not enough, the interest is 17% a month. I cannot come up with the balance on my own. Nor can I get a loan. It will take about $1800 to get this bill paid and I won't have to see my ex, every time I have to go. That would be great. The next time I need to go is February 4th. Please, I'd really like to NOT have to do this anymore. Thank you!

I found six abandoned kittens today in a plastic shopping bag and took them home with me. I called the Humane Society but they said they could pick them up, not guarantee an owner for them. I'm looking for owners on Facebook and Kijiji but until I find someone I'm going to care for them. Because I barely make enough to live as it is, I can't afford anything at all. I had some milk in the fridge (the cow kind) and they finished it off pretty quickly, but now I need a bunch of supplies I can't afford. I need two kitty litter boxes, kitten formula, some toys maybe, and I have to take them to the vet to get all checked out. I just cannot afford any of this and that's why I'm here. Anything will help. Thank you.

Hey I am 29 year old hard working girl, I work around 60 hour weeks regularly, but can never seem to get enough money to support myself. Every time I get pay I owe all my paycheck and have to pick and choose what to pay or not. I have over a 100 thousand on student loans, which amounts to a 1000$ monthly on payments, apart from my rent, utilities, food, car, gas, etc.. I have never done this before and hope I don't have to again. But right now I am behind on my rent and pretty much all my bills. My landlord is saying he'll evict me if I don't pay by Friday 1300$.
