I worked as a Legal Secretary for 27 years, no medical benefits or retirement plan. I lost my job because my husband got sick with Leukemia & I was given a leave of absence at my job. Unfortunately, my husband was terminally ill & not going to survive & I wanted to spend the last days he had with him. Unfortunately, my husband passed away & a week later, I called my job to tell them that I would be back, but never got a response.
