Life’s Hit Hard, Humbly Asking for Support

Hi, I’m Nikki, a single mom in Iowa facing a difficult financial crisis. Due to recent health issues and unexpected legal expenses, I’ve fallen behind on rent, utilities, and basic needs. I was recently notified that we have until August 1 to move and find a new home. I’m now trying to secure enough funds to catch up on past-due rent and bills, cover essentials like gas and toiletries, and come up with a deposit and first month’s rent for a new place.

I’m working as many extra hours as I can, and also looking into side hustles and other ways to bring in extra cash, but it’s difficult with two small children and very little family support. Things are getting more overwhelming by the day, and I’m doing everything I can to avoid falling further behind.

I’ve never really asked for help like this before — I’ve always tried to stay independent and figure things out on my own. But I’ve reached a point where I know I can’t do this alone. It’s going to take a small miracle to get us out of this situation, and I’m humbly asking for help. Any support, no matter how small would mean the world to us.
