I am a 65 year old Honorably Discharged Vietnam Era Veteran and recent bladder cancer survivor. We have one car between us (my partner is 60 who had to quit her job as a Certified Nursing Assistant due to health issues). We have a 1997 Olds with 209,000+ miles on it that is on its last leg. Dear surfer, I want to assure you that any funds provided will go towards helping me get out of debt. Over the past few years I have acquired over $12,000 in debt. I am looking to get a new lease on life and I feel like this i's holding me back. Most of that debt was due to drinking. I have been sober for 1 year now and will never go back to drinking. I was admitted 3 times to the hospital for binge drinking. My monthly payments are very high and due to the fact that I am unemployed, it can be difficult to make.those payments. But most of all I want to get rid of the balance and move on with my life.

I was just recently made to be homeless. Wife is divorcing me. Let me have my car/laptop/clothes. She destroyed or kept the rest. Was staying in a cheesy motel room, hoping to go back home, till the cash ran out. Now im pretty much down and out with no where to go. Any help would be appriciated.

Last month i was rob and had my mountain bike and trailer stolen. Might not seem like a big deal to most ppl. However i live on a very small pension, and used my bike and trailer to recycle things and make extra money. Without these 2 things my income has been cut by almost half. to replace the bike and trailer is gonna cost me $300. That is 300 dollars i don't have now that i can't collect stuff to recycle. I can make an extra 800 dollars a month when i have a bike and trailer. but now maybe at most 150. i can only carry so much by hand. If anyone can give me a hand up. So i may once again be able to support myself and keep my head above water. $300 all it takes for me to be able again to earn a living. Thank you All for reading.
