Myself Shimul, and I work as a social media marketer in a private company. My monthly salary is around 300 USD. This is the only stable income for me and my family, and almost all of it goes into basic needs like food, transport, and helping my parents.

Our biggest problem right now is our house. It is built right beside a pond. Over the years, the water has slowly eaten away the soil on one side of the house. Now the ground and foundation on that side are damaged and at risk. Parts of the wall and floor are cracking and sinking.

Local builders and masons told me that to make the house safe again, I need to:

• Build a proper protective wall along the pond side
  
• Repair and reinforce the damaged part of the house
  

The estimated cost for this is around 10,000–15,000 USD in total. For someone in my situation and country, this is an impossible amount to save in a short time. I have no savings because my monthly income barely covers living and family expenses.

I’ve been trying my best to improve my skills and grow my career so that I can earn more in the future, but this house problem is urgent. If the erosion continues, there is a real risk that our home will become unsafe or unlivable.
