A mother and her 2 daughters need help

Laura, US

Before I explain my situation, I want everyone to know that every cent of donations will go to help a family have a better life. What they have now is almost nothing. A mother and her 2 daughters living in very poor conditions, and barely surviving on what I can afford to give them. This is their story…. I met Rhean online about a year ago. She was very sincere in every way. She informed me that she had been married for 1 ½ years, and had been separated for the past 4 years. I learned that her ex-husband, who was an American enlisted in our armed forces, had just up and left her and her daughters. We chatted on several different sites, and after a while I felt comfortable enough to send her money so she could buy a cell phone. Finally being able to talk to her, to hear her voice, made me realize that she was totally honest and sincere in everything she told me. She was working for a clothing manufacturer, hardly making enough to live on. But somehow she was getting by. I decided that I had to meet her in person, so I took a week vacation and flew there. She was able to take a few days off from her job, and I spent a week with her and her 2 daughters. So now I found firsthand how she really was. And let me tell you, this woman is a saint. Everything she does is for the good of not only her family, but others also. The most unselfish person I had ever met. I stayed at her house, which to a lot of us would be nothing more than a storage shed at best. I finally saw for myself how everyday life was for them. All I kept thinking was “How could I make it better for the 3 of them?” The day before I left to come back home, Rhean and I spent the entire day talking. I needed to know everything about her. From her childhood to present day, we talked about everything. Not once has this woman asked me for anything. Even in the poor conditions they live in, she has never asked me for a dime. And being attached still to a man that just up and left them makes things a little more difficult. Needless to say I have decided to try and fund her annulment. It may take some time, but I have to do this for her. But now another snag…… After returning to work for 2 weeks after I left, she lost her job. It was one thing to fund her annulment, but now I am supporting the 3 of them weekly. And being 38 years old, in her country work is practically non-existent for someone of that age. I am trying to do the best I can, but I’m afraid it’s not enough. Having to fund her legal matters and everyday life, along with trying to save for their visas and travel expenses in the future, I feel like I’m not getting anywhere. So, this is where any donations will go ….. • Everyday life….food, utilities, and schooling • Annulment • Visas and travel expenses What I am asking for is for some assistance in helping this family to have a better life. I can support a family of 4 on my income, as long as we’re all together. Trying to support 2 households is not working. It will take around a year and a half to get them here in the states. Any donation, no matter how big or small, will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.
