So why did you create eBeggars.com?

That is a question I get all the time.  I created it just as a part-time hobby to help me procrastinate during college.   Procrastination will always lead to working, but it just takes a while to make the transition.  Oh yeah, its tough being a poor college student and this seemed to be an easier way of asking for money than doing the old "Hey mom, can I get some lunch money?"

How does eBeggars.com survive if it's free to join?

Easy ... I beg for it!

So how does the whole eBeggars.com thing work?

eBeggars.com works like this ... what eBeggars.com does is receive all the donations via PayPal funds, acting as the middle-man.  So once PayPal takes out its fee's (2.9% + $0.30) then we will see the total donation sent to a specific eBeggar (e.g. if a $5 donation is sent, PayPal takes about $0.45, so the actual donation total is $4.55) and then we'll send the $4.55 to the specific eBeggar that received the donation.
